Our goal is to create a nationwide 'training period' so young people 18-20 can LEARN how to drink responsibly.

At the age of 18, young people can go off to war but cannot have a legal drink, are mature enough to vote for the leader of the free world yet not mature enough to handle a beer.

At the tick of midnight on their 21st birthday, one goes from being too young to enjoy a glass of wine to instantly becoming mature enough, and legally welcome, to purchase and consume all the hard liquor they want.  Does this really make sense?

WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you feel that this idea should be explored and considered by our lawmakers, please e-mail us!

The age of 21 has been the national minimum age to legally consume alcohol in the United States since 1984. It's time to rethink whether or not this age restriction is really solving the problem of underage alcohol abuse.

- 80% of college students drink and half of those are binge drinkers.         READ MORE

- people aged 12 to 20 years drink 11% of all alcohol consumed in the United States. More than 90% of this alcohol is consumed in the form of binge drinks.       READ MORE

The current methods of education, restriction and penalties are not working, and may actually be contributing to the abuse of alcohol by the underage, pushing it to the basements, the woods, and encouraging faster consumption.       READ MORE

With an open mind to the idea of adjusting the laws and adding incentives we have the ability to create a culture of healthy young drinkers by providing those ages 18-20 with a ‘training’ period for alcohol consumption with a Probationary Consumption License (PCL)

PCL is modeled after the Junior Operator License which restricts new drivers with curfew and passenger limits, yet allows them the experience necessary to become responsible and capable drivers.

A PCL will allow responsible 18-20 year olds the legal ability to consume alcohol in a public setting, with limits and penalties. READ MORE
